Stephen II ( Serbo-Croatian: Стефан II / Stjepan II) was the Bosnian Ban from 1314, but in reality from 1322 to 1353 together with his brother, Vladislav Kotromanić in 1326–1353. He was the son of Bosnian Ban Stephen I Kotromanić and Elizabeth, sister of King Stefan Vladislav II.

Stephen now confirmed as Ban (hence his ban-ship officially started in 1322) was able to support his uncle Vladislav II of Syrmia to regain all Serbia. This proved unsuccessful but Stephen did add the region of Usora and Soli to his own territory.

By 1326 Ban Stephen II attacked Serbia in a military alliance with the Republic of Ragusa and conquered Zahumlje (or Hum), gaining more of Adriatic Sea coast, from mouth of the Neretva to Konavle, with areas significant Orthodox population under Archbishopric of Ohrid and mixed Orthodox and Catholic population in coastal areas and around Ston.
Stephen Tomašević or Stephen II (Serbo-Croatian: Stjepan/Stefan Tomašević, Стјепан/Стефан Томашевић; c. 1438 – 25 May 1463) was the last sovereign from the Bosnian Kotromanić dynasty, reigning as Despot of Serbia briefly in 1459 and as King of Bosnia from 1461 until 1463.

31 mar 2024 · Stjepan II Kotromanić was one of the most important bans in Bosnian history. During his reign, Bosnia experienced, until then, the greatest territorial expansion. With smart rule and good diplomatic ties, he established all the conditions for Tvrtko I Kotromanić to make Bosnia the strongest independent South Slavic state in history.
