The Stockholm Institute of Education (Swedish: Lärarhögskolan i Stockholm) was a university college in Stockholm, Sweden that was founded in 1956. It was incorporated into Stockholm University on January 1, 2008.
Most of our courses are taught in Swedish. In English, the department offers single courses (first and second level) and a master's programme in education with an international and comparative specialisation.
A transdisciplinary, international and comparative programme at Stockholm University that aims to provide better understanding and skills in analysing learning and educational phenomena in different societies and cultures. The programme covers research and training areas such as international and comparative perspectives, theory of science, educational planning, education and development, globalisation and education and educational research methods.
