Stow College was a college in Glasgow in Scotland . History. The college was named after David Stow, whose primary teaching seminary was founded close to the college at Dundasvale. The first purpose-built Further Education college in Glasgow, it celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2009.

Stow College. Opened in 1934 by Glasgow Corporation it was the first purpose built further education college in the city. Named after the educationalist David Stow (1793-1864). it provided evening classes for shipyard workers and was known at the time as a Trades School.
