The Los Angeles Times featured Thornton alumna Sunny Jungin Yang, who recently joined the Kronos Quartet as the fifth cellist in the quartet’s 40-year history. Yang, 28, was born in Incheon, South Korea and grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. She studied at the Eastman School of Music.
