Storia del gruppo. 20 apr 2020 · Ho incontrato le prime Slits, che all’epoca erano Palmolive [vero nome Paloma Romero, batteria, così rinominata da Paul Simonon, incapace di pronunciare correttamente il suo nome], Ari Up [vero nome Ariane Daniele Forster, voce], Kate Corrus [chitarra] e Suzy Gutsy [basso], dopo aver letto un articolo pubblicato su "News Of The World", un giornale domenicale da quattro soldi.
The original lineup of the The Slits consisted of Ari Up ( Arianna Forster) on lead vocals, Kate Korus on guitar, Suzy Gutsy on bass and Paloma Romero on drums. Korus and Gutsy were replaced early on by Tessa Pollitt on bass and Viv Albertine on guitar.

It is also referred to as Y (its record label), Y3LP (its serial number), Y3Lp—The Official Bootleg, (On a Japanese RCA Victor reissue), and, in Greil Marcus' book "Lipstick Traces," A Boring Life, or Once Upon A Time In A Living Room.
