The Sylvia Young Theatre School aims to practice forms of assessment that: Promote and support learning. Informs teaching. Is both informative and summative. Uses appropriate and diverse strategies. Recognises pupil progress in all areas of the curriculum. Develops self-assessment for all members of the school.
Please do not bring valuables to school as we cannot take responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Extra Classes. During the week there will be free extra classes in singing, drama and dance between 4.00-4.50pm. Students can sign up to join after-school classes each morning on arrival. Age Groups
The Sylvia Young Theatre School is non-denominational and co-educational. Our students range from 10 to 16 years of age. We are a small school of around 250 students and value our ‘family atmosphere'. Students join our full time school after successfully completing the audition process. We hold auditions throughout the school year.
It is also a great opportunity to make new friends in a very happy environment. Holiday School offers a number of sessions in varying styles. Our very popular 'Theatre Classes Course' 7-18 years & Musical Theatre Course 10–18 years: Full information can be found in our course information menu and is held at our school in Nutford Place W1.
The School Open Day tour for prospective parents & children will take place in; October 2024.
