Kotcheff made his first film with Tiara Tahiti (1962). He directed other features during the decade, including Life at the Top (1965) and Two Gentlemen Sharing (1969). 7 apr 2017 · Il regista Ted Kotcheff ha recentemente presentato una nuova biografia, dal titolo Director’s Cut: My Life in Film, e in un’intervista ha raccontato di come in origine il finale della pellicola prevedesse il suicidio di John Rambo (come nel romanzo del 1972).
William Theodore Kotcheff was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Bulgarian parents from Plovdiv. He graduated with a degree in English Literature from the University of Toronto. He began his professional career directing TV drama at age 24 at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, at the time becoming the youngest director in the CBC.
