In the early 2000s, both Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Icepursued solo projects. Circa 2006–2007 Fresh Kid Ice and Brother Marquisdiscussed their differences and decided to relaunch 2 Live Crew. They offered other past members to be involved but were declined. Both of them started to tour and release singles.
