29 giu 2018 · by Federico Veiroj. synopsis. Tamayo knows he needs to change the person he has become under the pressure of his parents’ expectations. His opposition manifests itself in the increasingly quixotic quest of formally having his name struck from the Catholic church’s baptismal record.
The Apostate is an amusing, darkly humorous satire about a Spanish man's quest to have his baptism annulled with the Catholic Church. It intelligently raises issues regarding corruption within the church, while morally complicating things by making its protagonist somewhat unlikable.
