"An Adventure So Far Out... It's Positively Prehistoric! Great Woolly Mammoth! The Archies are about to discover excitement, adventure AND a real, live caveman! Everybody acts a little strange now and then – especially Jughead. So when their prank-prone friend starts running around Riverdale wearing fur-covered shorts and a bone in his hair, Archie and the gang aren't the least bit surprised. The trouble is, it's not Jughead at all! It's his prehistoric ancestor – a club-wielding Neanderthal...

One peaceful afternoon in Riverdale, Archie and his friends are hanging out in the parking lot as they watch Jughead scarf down a pile of cheeseburgers, noting that he is one of a kind. When Betty theorizes that everyone has a double out there somewhere, Veronica pulls up and proclaims that she is a complete original. Archie and Reggie compete to see who can get the door for her first, with Reggie coming out on top and attempting to seduce Veronica with her favorite latte, prepared by a robot...
In The Archies in JugMan, all of the major legacy characters sport redesigned outfits, ranging from minor recolors to completely overhauled attire. Several of the prominent locales from the series are redesigned as well. There is no given reason behind any of this, however. Characters exclusive to the movie are marked with an asterisk.
Midge appears to have gotten closer with the main Archie cast, hanging out with and helping them out far more often than she did in the TV series.
