The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine. The choir school building, now the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine, is located on the cathedral close's eastern border. The building is in the Collegiate Gothic style and is 4 + 1 ⁄ 2 stories tall.
Founded in 1901, The Cathedral School has a long history of philanthropy; indeed, visionary and transformative gifts made our school the incredible institution it is today. Our first major benefactor was a woman, Mrs. Mary Eliza Blodgett, who gave The Cathedral of St. John the Divine a sizable gift for the construction of The Cathedral School building in 1913.
