Nonostante anche il Dre-sound abbia i suoi detrattori, The Chronic rimane un disco – oltre che magnifico in sè – interessante soprattuttto da un punto di vista produttivo. Le principali critiche mosse al dottore riguardano l’MCing: che Dre al mic sia un interprete mediocre, se non proprio scarso, è fuori da ogni dubbio.
