Amanda Pays plays a girl who goes on a trip to East Germany with her estranged father (George Segal) where they stay in a hotel that was once residential. There, she starts to experience the life of a girl who lived there during WWII, finding a Jewish man hiding in a disused cold room for a butcher shop behind her wall and falling in love with him.
