The show – hosted by former talent agent and Broadway and TV producer, David Susskind – was originally a New York-based local show called Open End. It aired at 11 pm and remained on the air until the subject – or his fatigued guests – were exhausted.
David Susskind interviews three New York City prostitutes. Their identities are hidden by dark lighting, leaving them free to discuss the problems of their work and their lifestyle. In the second segment Susskind takes a closer look at one of the more established religious cults in the country.
