The Lady Escapes plot. A married couple, tired of the constant bickering among themselves, temporarily split up. The woman goes to France, where she immediately has an affair with a playboy. This causes her husband to decide that he wants her back. He thinks he can seize his chance after discovering that the playboy has another mistress.
