The Lady in the Van. The Lady in the Van is een Britse film uit 2015 onder regie van Nicholas Hytner en een adaptatie van het gelijknamig theaterstuk op West End, gebaseerd op de autobiografische roman van Alan Bennett uit 1989. De film ging in première op 12 september op het 40ste Internationaal filmfestival van Toronto.
This movie tells the story of Alan Bennett's (Alex Jennings') strained friendship with Miss Mary Shepherd (Dame Maggie Smith), an eccentric homeless woman who Bennett befriended in the 1970s before allowing her temporarily to park her Bedford van in the driveway of his Camden house. She stayed there for fifteen years.
The Lady In The Van. Maggie Smith plays Miss Shepherd, a woman who “temporarily” parks her van in a man's driveway and proceeds to live there for 15 years. Rentals include 30 days to start watching this video and 48 hours to finish once started.

The lady in the van 🚐👵 Davvero un gran bel film! Divertente, ironico, ma anche toccante e coinvolgente, infatti un'ora e mezza o poco più passa via veloce perché ogni minuto ti lascia la curiosità di vedere come si evolve la vicenda (ovviamente per chi già non conosce la storia tratta dall'omonimo libro di Alan Bennett).
