Welcome to. The London Oratory School. Our School. When the Oratorian Saint John Henry Newman sent priests from his Congregation to open an Oratory in London, they began their mission by opening schools where poor, immigrant Catholic children could get a rudimentary education. The London Oratory School owes its origins to that early initiative.
The school is known for the quality of its choral and instrumental music and is one of England's oldest Catholic schools. The London Oratory School was named in The Sunday Times as one of the 'Top 10 Comprehensive Schools in the UK' for both 2022 and 2023.
The Oratory School is the only surviving institution which Newman founded, apart from the Birmingham Oratory itself and University College Dublin. We have an unbroken line of succession from his day to ours.
