5 giorni fa · The penultimate chapter in The Return of the King is titled "The Scouring of the Shire," which sees Saruman, the White Wizard, raiding the Shire with his band of ruffians. Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin return from their journey to see this happening and rise up to defeat the ruffians.
1 giorno fa · Skipping The Scouring of the Shire completely; I’m not here this week to defend the latter (although I do think for the structure of a film and the catharsis we had already experienced by that point in the trilogy as audience members completely justifies not including The Scouring of the Shire …), it is worth noting.

Fans of the books will know this location as the backdrop for a major battle that ends the Scouring of the Shire.

Tales of the Shire has no exact release date, but we know that it’s coming out some time in 2024. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and, of course, PC.
