Best thing about 'The Secrets of Emily Blair' actually is some of the acting, particularly from Colm Meaney and Adrian Paul. Going on further to the negatives, the story does feel over-stretched and some of it feels vague, under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less scary.

The movie was able to create the intense feeling of anticipation of coming danger in a spiritual way. It is safe to say that this film was inspired by The Exorcist and even makes reference to the then young star act, Linda Blair.
