The Thacher School is a private coeducational college preparatory boarding high school (grades 9-12) located 85 miles northwest of Los Angeles, California.
The goals of the admission process at Thacher are to be transparent and equitable. With this in mind, we will offer optional in-person family visits twice per week, virtual information sessions, and all interviews will be conducted via Zoom. We will continue our practice of waiving the application fee for all families applying for financial aid.

At Thacher, we see the 9th and 10th grade curriculum as an introduction and opportunity to build a foundation upon which to help our students grow and develop as learners and community members over their time at the School. To do this, we focus on four key goals: community and belonging, academic readiness and curiosity, confidence, and excitement.
