5 mag 2024 · The Town That Dreaded Sundown 1976 ★★★. Watched May 05 , 2024. It was pretty close to being pretty good and the beginning made it look like a hidden gem. But it starts to feel a bit unfocused. The voice over made it seem much more threatening and serious and semi documentary like. But then we have a few very out of place comedy moments.

The nighttime killing spree consisted of targeting three couples, who were often parked alone on rural roads (or “lovers' lanes” as they were called).

Like in real life, the killer had a penchant for going after couples looking for privacy at lover’s lanes, but the real life 1968 murders of David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen, the first known victims, are omitted from the film.
