High-wire acrobat Paul Collins, and his specialty act stooges Billy Gilbert and Shemp Howard, are headlining at a local vaudeville theater. When Collins' new wife leaves him, Paul's grief causes him to fall to his death during a trapeze performance.
This was the first of three films, produced by Sam Katzman and Jack Dietz for Banner Productions, to team Billy Gilbert, Shemp Howard and Maxie Rosenbloom. The 1944 film Crazy Knights and the 1945 film Trouble Chasers (see below) completed the series.
Synopsis by Bruce Eder. Shemp Howard and Billy Gilbert are a pair of lovable vaudeville clowns who spend most of their free time looking after the young son (Robert "Buzzy" Henry) of their boss (Paul Phillips), a nice guy who is trying desperately to hold together his second marriage.
