Tony Mordente (born December 3, 1935) is an American dancer, choreographer, actor, and television director. Career. Born in Brooklyn, the son of a beer truck driver, Mordente went to dance school at the age of thirteen. He attended the High School of Performing Arts and won a scholarship to the American Ballet Theater School.
Tony Mordente is a New York-born director, producer and actor who worked on West Side Story, The Greatest American Hero and Quincy M.E. He was married to Chita Rivera, the original Anita in West Side Story, and has one child.
