Underworld er en serie af action horror film instrueret af Len Wiseman, Patrick Tatopoulos, Måns Mårlind og Björn Stein. Den første film, Underworld, blev udgivet i 2003. Den fortæller historien om Selene ( Kate Beckinsale ), en vampyr, som er en "Death Dealer", der dræber Lycans ( Varulve ), som angiveligt dræbte hendes familie.
Many of the guns used in this film are guns made by Heckler and Koch (H&K). However, Selene uses a pair of Beretta 92/96's with compensators. The Film is often mistakenly criticized for heavy use of CGI effects, mostly for the Lycans. In fact the majority of the creature effects were not CGI but costumes.
