The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England. Established in 1963 on a 320-acre (130-hectare) campus west of the city centre, the university has four faculties and twenty-six schools of study.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a UK Top 25 university ( Complete University Guide 2024) and is ranked in the UK Top 30 in the Times/Sunday Times and Guardian University 2023 guides. An internationally renowned university, it offers academic and social facilities of the highest quality.
The University of East Anglia opens. The first Vice-Chancellor, Frank Thistlethwaite opened the University Village in 1963, with many of the existing buildings being built on a converted golf course. The university itself was designed by English Architect Sir Denys Lasdun, who also designed the Royal National Theatre.
