The Students' Union developed in tandem with the University and has existed since 1965. In its first few decades, it was heavily involved with the protests, rent strikes, and occupations which earned the University the nickname of 'Red Warwick’. Tom Solesbury. The University of Warwick Boat Club is the rowing club of the University of Warwick. It club was founded in 1967 [1] and as of 2019 has over a hundred members.
