  2. Welcome to Badger Precollege. What can young learners do at UWMadison this summer? Just about anything. Badger Precollege offers an array of academic programs for students ages 7-18 — from advanced learning programs and STEM classes to music clinics and college readiness conferences.

  3. Rising juniors and seniors in high school can apply to take classes at UWMadison during Summer Term, where they’ll earn college credit for face-to-face and online courses. Students take courses with experienced college students and establish an official UWMadison transcript.

Direct Admit Wisconsin is an initiative by the Universities of Wisconsin to proactively offer admission to qualifying high school students in between their junior and senior years of high school. Direct admission removes the traditional application process and instead uses data provided by the high school to admit students to universities.

  5. A first-year student includes anyone who is currently a student in high school or who has not taken college coursework since graduating from high school. Starting on August 1 every year, you can begin applying to the University of WisconsinMadison.
