bubba1lg 17 February 2019. This indie film weaves an atypical storyline that if you stay with it delivers in the end. The Kirke actresses Jemima & Lola play off of their real life sisterhood with true authenticity. It's always a pleasure watching the brilliant Ben Mendehlson diving deeply into a character.
Only Martin's confusion and heartbreak and David's concern register. The movie has a secondary theme of fiction vs. nonfiction and what makes someone a real writer, but, as with the romances, the film's observations on this topic aren't new or profound, either. Ultimately, there isn't enough charm to go around in Untogether.
