This ain’t just some arty film that I didn’t get, this is just a crap movie. Dakota Fanning, get a new agent because your film career is in the toilet. Evan Rachel Wood and Zoe Kravitz also star and even they’re not very good. Horrid. Laughable that it’s supposedly set in the 80s yet it’s the most painfully muso-hipster modern looking ...
Viena and the Fantomes has a lot of interesting choices that had potential to be very compelling, that is if any of those paths had been explored. Introducing his audience to the love triangle was at least interesting but it never went anywhere and I feel like this film could have been much stronger if it had focused on the abuse of the women in this cult of sorts.
