Violet & Daisy is a wonderful example of how films can masquerade as female focused without putting any of the effort into actually focusing on women. Violet and Daisy, as characters, are excessively infantilized in the most uncomfortable ways. They lack true agency. Their motivations are grounded in male based interpretations and orders.

7 giu 2013 · But I have to say I had no trouble believing Travolta and Jackson in Pulp Fiction, so, at least in my view, there must be something missing from Violet and Daisy that must be essential to creating believable contract killers. If quirky is enough to rock you then give this film a try. Otherwise rewatch Pulp Fiction or something.
