16 mar 2018 · I Wall of Voodoo nascono nel 1977 dall’incontro tra il cantante e virtuoso dell’armonica Stanard Ridgway e il chitarrista Marc Moreland, cui si uniscono il fratello Bruce Moreland, il tastierista Chas Gray e il batterista Joe Nanini, in una sezione ritmica comunque fortemente condizionata dalla batteria elettronica.
Wall of Voodoo had its roots in Acme Soundtracks, a film score business started by Stan Ridgway, who was later the vocalist and harmonica player for Wall of Voodoo. Acme Soundtracks' office was across the street from the Hollywood punk club The Masque and Ridgway was soon drawn into the emerging punk/new wave scene there.
