Duke Wartislaw IX of Pomerania-Wolgast (c. 1400 – 17 April 1457, Wolgast) was the eldest son of the Duke Barnim VI, Duke of Pomerania (dynasty of Griffins) and Veronica of Hohenzollern, daughter of Frederick V, Burgrave of Nuremberg. He reigned from 1417 until his death in 1457 and he married Sophia of Saxe-Lauenburg-Ratzeburg in 1420.

Duke Wartislaw I (died 1135) was the first historical ruler of the Duchy of Pomerania and the founder of the Griffin dynasty. The most prominent Griffin was Eric of Pomerania, who became king of the Kalmar Union in 1397, thus ruling Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Nel 1451 Wartislaw IX organizzò il matrimonio di suo figlio con Sofia, figlia di Boghislao IX di Pomerania-Stolp ed erede di Eric I di Pomerania-Stolp, che era stato inoltre re dell'Unione di Kalmar. Il matrimonio con questa lontana parente garantì ad Eric II di entrare in possesso delle terre di Eric I nella Pomerania Anteriore.
