Wartislaw VIII, Duke of Pomerania. Father. Barnim IV, Duke of Pomerania. Mother. Sophie of Werle. Wartislaw VI of Pomerania (1345 – 13 June 1394) was a member of the House of Griffin. From 1365 to 1377, he ruled Pomerania-Wolgast jointly with his brother Bogislaw VI. From 1377 until his death, he was the sole ruler of Pomerania-Barth .

In 1464, Pomerania-Stettin's duke Otto III died without an heir, Bogislaw's father Eric II and his uncle, Wartislaw X, both ruling different portions of Pomerania-Wolgast, managed to succeed in a conflict about Pomerania-Stettin inheritance with the Margraviate of Brandenburg.

Margareta of Rügen. Wartislaw IV or Vartislav IV (before 1290 – 1 August 1326) was Duke of Pomerania-Wolgast from 1309 until his death. He was the only son of Duke Bogislaw IV of Pomerania and his wife Margareta, a daughter of Vitslav II, Prince of Rügen. Vartislaw IV had four sisters: Jutta, Elisabeth, Margareta and Eufemia.
Wartislaw IX died in 1457 and Pomerania-Wolgast was once again divided. Wartislaw X ruled Pomerania-Barth until 1478. This was the last time Barth served as the capital for a fragment of the Duchy of Pomerania, although later Dukes occasionally visited the city.
