About Wesley College. Wesley College was established in 1844. It is New Zealand’s oldest registered school. Wesley College was the first Private School to integrate in the State Education system under the terms of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975.

Wesley College opened on 11 January 1866, at its St Kilda Road Campus and began with just one student, Freddie Binks. Freddie could never have imagined the Wesley College we know today – one of Australia’s leading coeducational, multi-campus schools with a student population of more than 3,300.
