  1. What's New Pussycat? is a 1965 screwball comedy film directed by Clive Donner, written by Woody Allen in his first produced screenplay, and starring Allen in his acting debut, along with Peter Sellers, Peter O'Toole, Romy Schneider, Capucine, Paula Prentiss, and Ursula Andress.

  2. "What's New Pussycat?" is the theme song for the eponymous movie, written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, and sung by Welsh singer Tom Jones. The original single included a 13-second instrumental introduction, ending in the sound of shattering glass, but later issues omitted this introduction.

And now it has, in the shape of the highly impressive What’s New Pussycat? But this is no bio musical, in the vein of Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, or The Jersey Boys.

  5. Drawn by the then-hot O'Toole (this was his second film after Lawrence of Arabia, 1962) and the promise of unfettered sexuality, they made What's New, Pussycat? a hit. The title song scored an Oscar nomination and spent ten weeks on the charts, topping at number two.
