Wolfgang Fürst von Anhalt-Köthen (* 1. August 1492 in Köthen ; † 23. März 1566 in Zerbst ) war ein deutscher Fürst aus dem Hause Askanien und Herrscher des Fürstentums Anhalt-Köthen . Er war einer der frühesten protestantischen Herrscher im Heiligen Römischen Reich .

Die Grafschaft Anhalt entstand im Jahre 1212, als sich ein Enkel (Heinrich I.) des Askanischen Eroberers Albrecht des Bären zum Fürsten von Anhalt erklärt. Das Fürstentum Anhalt-Köthen bestand von 1396 bis 1847, gehörte von 1847 bis 1863 zu Anhalt-Bernburg und wurde danach in das Herzogtum Anhalt eingegliedert.
