The Lark (Russian: Жаворонок, romanized: Zhavoronok) is a 1965 Soviet World War II film directed by Nikita Kurikhin and Leonid Menaker. It was entered into the 1965 Cannes Film Festival. It features a story of a T-34 battle tank and its crew who escape from German training ground after being used as a living target practice.

Zhavoronok plot. It's 1942 and the Nazis want to test a new anti-tank weapon. Russian prisoners of war have to operate a tank as guinea pigs so that they can act as target practice. Knowing that death is close at hand, the Russians try to cause as much damage for as long as possible with their tank and demolish German monuments.
