Anne Dorval (French pronunciation: [an dɔʁval]; born November 8, 1960) is a French Canadian television, stage, and film actress. She is known for her work with Xavier Dolan that includes appearing in five of his films, I Killed My Mother (2009), Heartbeats (2010), Laurence Anyways (2012), Mommy (2014) and Matthias & Maxime (2019).
Anne Dorval, née le 8 novembre 1960 à Noranda, est une actrice québécoise. Depuis le début de sa carrière en 1985, elle a joué dans une trentaine de productions théâtrales, une vingtaine de séries télévisées ou téléfilms, et une dizaine de films sur grand écran.

Anne Dorval studierte zunächst Bildende Kunst und von 1979 bis 1983 Schauspiel am Konservatorium Montreal. Sie wurde dann als Theater-Schauspielerin tätig und einige Jahre später auch für Film und Fernsehen angefragt.

Mommy is a 2014 Canadian drama film written, directed and edited by Xavier Dolan and starring Anne Dorval, Antoine Olivier Pilon, and Suzanne Clément. The story concerns a mother with a sometimes-violent teenage son, struggling to control his behaviour in a desperate attempt to avoid seeing him being institutionalized.
