Anne Hathaway died in 1623, aged 67, and was buried in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon, next to her husband, on August 8. Her grave records that: ‘Heere lyeth interred the body of Anne, wife of William Shakespeare, who depted this life the 6th day of August. 1623 being of the age of 67 yeares’.
