Alumni Profiles - Benenden. Our Alumni. When a pupil leaves Benenden at the end of the Sixth Form, it is far from the end of their association with the School: they remain part of Benenden for life. Our former pupils are called Benenden Seniors and there are more than 5,000 of them around the world.
Website. http://www.benenden.school. Benenden School is an independent boarding school for girls in Kent, England, in Hemsted Park at Benenden, between Cranbrook and Tenterden. Benenden has a boarding population of over 550 girls aged 11 to 18, as well as a limited number of day student spaces.

The site on which the School stands is of great historical interest as both the parkland and woodland are mentioned in the Domesday Book: “Robert of Romney also holds Benenden [Benendine] from the Bishop of Bayeux”. Benenden had become sufficiently permanent by 1086 to have both a name and a church. Benenden became a Charitable Foundation.

Benenden School has announced some exciting changes that will further improve students’ experience. From September 2025, the School will be establishing a boarding house dedicated to its two youngest year groups, at the same time as opening a university-style ‘penthouse’ floor for Sixth Formers.
