Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld (later Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands; 29 June 1911 – 1 December 2004) was Prince of the Netherlands from 6 September 1948 to 30 April 1980 as the husband of Queen Juliana. They had four daughters together, including Beatrix, who was Queen of the Netherlands from 1980 to 2013.

Direttore per la Francia della I. G. Farbenindustrie, a Parigi, vi conobbe la principessa ereditaria olandese che sposò all'Aia il 7 gennaio 1937. Il 10 e 11 maggio 1940 prese parte attiva alla lotta contro i paracadutisti tedeschi scesi nelle vicinanze del palazzo reale.
Bernhard was quite popular in the Netherlands, though he was a controversial figure, becoming involved in a bribery scandal involving the American aircraft manufacturer Lockheed. It was later revealed that he had had several extramarital affairs.
27 apr 2022 · Bernhard zur Lippe-Biesterfeld junior lebte in seiner Jugend auf dem heimatlichen Gut Reckenwalde im östlichen Brandenburg. Er wurde anfangs im Elternhaus privat unterrichtet und besuchte ab dem zwölften Lebensjahr ein Internat in Züllichau, wo er auch 1929 sein Abitur ablegte.
