In 1963, she starred as “Leah”, a bar girl in the Long Branch who loses her fiancée then is revived in life in the Gunsmoke episode “The Odyssey of Jubal Tanner” (S8E36). She appeared in a season-one episode, "Smoke Screen", of The Fugitive .

After her husband of 39 years died in 1999, Beverly continued to operate the 255-room Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in North Hollywood (with the assistance of three of her four children). Storyline. Aaron Locker (Denver Pyle), sweet on Leah Brunson, (Beverly Garland) a saloon girl who works at the Long Branch, and wanting to make her his wife, plans to propose marriage to her, which Aaron's brother, Hobie (Kevin Hagen), who claims Leah is just using Aaron.
The sweet and beautiful Garland was 32 in 1968, and was a bit old for her role. Beverly Garland's boyfriend was Billy, played by Tim O'Kelly, who was 15 years younger than Garland. When big Cliff sees Garland and Billy making out in the livery stable, he goes nuts and Billy ends up dead.
