  1. 20 dic 2023 · Clinical findings associated with orbital blow-out fracture may include: enophthalmos: due to increased orbital volume; diplopia: due to extraocular muscle entrapment; orbital emphysema: especially when the fracture is into an adjacent paranasal sinus (see: black eyebrow sign) malar region numbness: due to injury to the infraorbital ...

  2. Orbital floor fracture, also known as “blowoutfracture of the orbit. A "blowout" fracture of the orbital floor is defined as a fracture of the orbital floor in which the inferior orbital rim is intact.

  3. An orbital blowout fracture is a traumatic deformity of the orbital floor or medial wall that typically results from the impact of a blunt object larger than the orbital aperture, or eye socket. Most commonly this results in a herniation of orbital contents through the orbital fractures.

  6. 5 ago 2022 · Our findings indicate that orbital blow-out fracture repair through the transconjunctival approach is a safe and effective surgical technique for orbital blow-out fracture repair. Although patients who had early surgery had a higher success rate in our study group, larger study groups are needed to assess the effect of surgical ...

  7. 29 ago 2016 · Sequelae and indications for repair include enophthalmos and/or diplopia from extraocular muscle entrapment. Alloplastic implant placement with careful release of periorbital fat and extraocular muscles can effectively restore extraocular movements, orbital integrity, and anatomic volume.
