16 ott 2020 · Communist Bulgaria is really fun and well polished. I've looked at other paths Bulgaria can take and they seem fun too. The only disappointment in this expansion is Turkey imo. EDIT: I have to say, I really love the factions mechanics in Bulgaria. It's really fun, I'd love to see something similar for more countries.
17 mar 2021 · Italy is gone. Hopefully I get enough war contribution to secure a good position against SU or Allies later on. As Portugal it was better to destroy Allies first (after Axis) and Comintern last. As Bulgaria it might be better to crush SU first and Allies after because the naval buildup is gonna be much slower than with Portugal.
6 feb 2022 · I also recommend releasing Bulgaria and enacting "strong duchies" and then breaking your alliance with The Knights to get under your relations limit. Alternatively, if the war drags past 1454, you can enact strong duchies and then immediately integrate Athens (be sure to improve relations with them during the war).
21 mar 2021 · I stumbled across the below guide recently, and was able to get the Bulgaria "Prussia of the Balkans" and "Balkan Problem Solved" achievements yesterday. I recommend it to anyone who's been frustrated by these achievements (like I was). The strategy is mostly idiot-proof, and unlike many Bulgaria guides, has a minimal reliance on RNG events.
3 lug 2021 · CK3 Bulgaria in 867 inherited the faulty cut down map from CK2. Plovdiv (Philippopolis) was inside Bulgaria for a century at that Point and Beroe province (Zagore province) was inside BG borders since ca 700 AD. The Rhodope mountains provinces (Rhodope and Zherkovo) were also inside the borders, as was Philippi at the Aegean coast.
21 lug 2016 · Bulgaria will join IIRC as soon as you fire 2nd Vienna. Bulgaria can help with Greece and Yugoslavia and can be used as garrisons in the Balkans. Romania will join you as soon as Russia fires Bessarabia. They are definitely useful in Russia. I don't bother wasting time invading and puppeting them.
29 ott 2021 · When I recently played bulgaria and went fascist, I integrated 3 of the factions: zveno, national socia and then agri and crushed the communist. If you do so ,you later get an communist uprising. That is a buff to party popularity and an decision thats ticks down to a civil war. But you can then still stop it: 1.

15 dic 2017 · I've been playing some dry runs of a Romanian game where I wanna' go down the Balkan Dominance tree. So far, my strategy has been to focus on economic focuses while I build up my army (I figure I need 55 divisions of int/art with Recon, Engineers, Arty and AT to unlock the relevant national focuses concerning Hungary and Bulgaria).
