Uscito nel 1969 e diretto da George Roy Will sulla base della sceneggiatura di William Goldman, il film racconta la vita (vera) dei criminali Butch Cassidy e Sundance Kid. Non a caso il titolo originale è Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
