Ella Summer Purnell (born 17 September 1996) is an English actress. She began her career as a child actress in West End theatre and films such as Never Let Me Go (2010), Intruders (2011), and Maleficent (2014).
She is best known for her roles in Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (2016), in BBC One's Ordeal By Innocence (2017) and Starz' Sweetbitter (2017), in which she plays the series lead role of Tess in the adaptation of Stephanie Danler's hit novel of the same name.
