Frederick II (German: Friedrich; 30 November 1310 – 18 November 1349) was the margrave of Meissen from 1323 until his death.
At the death of his father, Albert became Margrave of Meissen, while his nephew Frederick Tuta - son of Theodoric of Landsberg - inherited the Margraviate of Lusatia, which was sold off by Albert's son Diezmann in 1303. Shortly after, Frederick captured his father Albert in battle.

Frederick the Lame (9 May 1293 – 13 January 1315, Zwenkau ), married Anna (d. 22 November 1327, Wismar ), daughter of Albert II, Duke of Saxe-Wittenberg and Agnes Habsburg, Daughter of Rudolph I of Germany. Secondly he married Elizabeth of Lobdeburg-Arnshaugk (1286 – 22 August 1359, Gotha) on 24 August 1300 and they had two children:
Margrave Eckard I from Thuringia succeeded Rikdag as Margrave of Meissen in 985. His descendants of the Ekkeharding noble family would keep the margravial title until 1046. Upon his appointment, Eckard allied with Duke Mieszko I of Poland in order to reconquer Meissen Castle from Duke Boleslaus II of Bohemia whose forces occupied it the year before.
