Description [ edit ] Friendship Hill is a parcel of land 675 acres (273 ha) in size, located on the east bank of the Monongahela River between New Geneva and Point Marion in rural southwestern Pennsylvania .

The Friendship Hill National Historic Site covers 675 acres and has more than 10 miles of hiking trails. Hours and Directions The Gallatin House at Friendship Hill is open daily from 9 am – 5 pm May through September ; it is open Saturdays and Sundays only October through April.
Friendship Hill National Historic Site preserves the country estate of Albert Gallatin, a Swiss emigrant who served his adopted nation during the early years of the republic. Gallatin is best remembered for his thirteen year tenure as Secretary of the Treasury during the Jefferson and Madison administrations.
