Harvest Records is a British-American record label belonging to Capitol Music Group, originally created by EMI in 1969. History. Harvest Records was created by EMI in 1969 to market progressive rock music, [1] and to compete with Philips' Vertigo and Decca's Deram labels, and the independent Island label.

In 2013, Capitol Records reactivated Harvest as a semi-independent American label. For the rest of the world the label is now jointly used by Universal Music and the Warner Music Group, the latter using the label for catalogue and the former for new releases.
