Homerton College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Its first premises were acquired in Homerton , London in 1768, by an informal gathering of Protestant dissenters with origins in the seventeenth century.

About us. Founded in London in 1768, Homerton moved to Cambridge just before 1900. Once an academy for the Nonconformist Church, then a renowned teacher-training college, since 2010 Homerton has been a full College of the University of Cambridge, offering all the academic subjects.
10 feb 2009 · Homerton set to become Cambridge’s ‘newest’ College. Last Friday, 6 February, the University gave approval by Grace to Homerton College to seek a Royal Charter. It is hoped that by the end of the year, the University’s 800th anniversary, this process will be completed to make Homerton a full college of the University.
Homerton College. Homerton is both the largest and the newest College in the University. With a 250-year history, for much of which we were an acclaimed teacher training college, we received our Royal Charter in 2010 and now offer every subject at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Cambridge. The city of Cambridge is in the east of England, 50 miles north of London. It is well served by road and rail links, and is within easy distance of the major London airports. The College. Homerton College is situated on Hills Road just outside the city centre between the main railway station and Addenbrookes Hospital.
